The RISE Project annouces the Ruiel L Taylor III Celebrate Life Scholarship 2018. This scholarship is dedicated to the life of the late Pastor Ruiel Taylor of Wharton TX. Pastor Taylor resided in the Sorrell Community and lead the East Gate New Prosperity Baptist Church. He is the father of the founder of the RISE Project, and served as the organization's Advisor from 2009-2014.

Pastor Taylor lived to serve others and was dedicated to bringing lives to Christ. He believed in the power of education and was sure to support the dreams of the youth of Wharton County. 

​

The RISE Project will bless one student from Wharton County with this scholarship. 

​

Eligibility Requirements: ​

• Member of The RISE Project

• High School Senior

• GPA greater than or equal to 2.7

• Reside in Wharton County​
